To improve quality and cost-effectiveness of emergency care for older patients in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) by 1) delivering frailty attuned care with a holistic approach including shared decision-making improving Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs, EQ-5D and PROM-OPAC (Older People Living with Frailty Receiving Acute Care)) 1,2 , 2) age and person-adjusted treatment in the ambulance using two validated screening tools, 3) reduce costs associated with ambulance transportations to the Emergency Department (ED) and subsequent hospitalizations.
