Academic Activities

Centre Meetings

Centre meetings are held on a selected Tuesday of every month from 08:30–09:30.
All staff with a permanent role or affiliation at RECEM are expected to participate. The agenda is sent out beforehand; items can be submitted to sarlet@rm.dk

Project Presentations

Project presentations are usually held on the last Tuesday of each month, where 1–2 researchers present their research or ongoing projects to RECEM colleagues. The format is approx. 20 minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of discussion.
The concept may be expanded to include external attendees.

Methods Teaching

Every Monday from 09:00 to 09:30, there is internal teaching in the center. Students and researchers present and teach a variety of methods, such as research methodologies, analytical techniques, and practical skills relevant to ongoing projects.

Journal Clubs

Journal Club is held jointly for the Center for Emergency Research, Anaesthesia, and the Prehospital Department, usually on the first Wednesday of each month, rotating between the Prehospital Department, Anaesthesia & Surgery, and the Center for Emergency Research.

We also have an emergency medicine Journal Club in collaboration with the region’s emergency departments, rotating between the five departments. Meetings are held from 18:00–20:00 and include optional self-paid dinner (typically pizza).
You can also explore AU’s Journal Club Database to find other interesting Journal Clubs to participate in.
