Everyone is responsible for keeping both their own workspace and shared areas tidy. Anyone who needs a permanent or temporary workspace is welcome to set up monitors, keyboard, mouse, etc., at any desk that is not already taken; contact Marianne if you have questions.
Shelving units with or without lockable cabinets/drawers are available. Everyone is welcome to use shelf space as needed.
The office includes three open group rooms, three private offices, a meeting room, a kitchenette with coffee machine, a printing/copy room, a biobank with freezer and refrigerator facilities (including fridge space for lunch), a phone booth, archive cabinets, and a lounge area.
The printer room contains folders, plastic sleeves, scissors, Dymo label maker, paper, pens, a laminating machine, etc. AUH also has a central supply depot for stationery on Level 1, intersection G101 (follow the signs).
Practical tasks such as washing dishes, cleaning the fridge, and organizing social events, are shared responsibilities. Everyone is encouraged to contribute. We all play a role in maintaining a positive office environment. Tasks and new initiatives are discussed and assigned at centre meetings.
We have a shared mailing list used for distributing information, calendar invites, minutes, etc. New members are typically added as part of the onboarding process.
In addition to the archive cabinets in Group Room 1, RECEM has a locked archive room near the office for storing research data. Keys can be borrowed from Marianne.
RECEM has both a central and a remote storage room for equipment, depending on whether the items are needed daily/weekly or less frequently. Keys can be borrowed from Marianne or retrieved from the key box.
Two coded key boxes are located in the cooling/freezer room for storing spare keys.
Remember to label the key with your name or initials before placing it in the box. Marianne can provide the code.
RECEM has a shared binder containing practical information of all kinds, located in the professor secretary’s office.
At the door phone (intersection J103), visitors can call RECEM for access. Calls are forwarded to RECEM'S function phone in the professor secretary’s office window.
Answer the phone, press “5” to unlock the door, and remember to hang up afterward.
The nearest parking option is the P20 parking structure near the Emergency Department, Emergency Clinic, and out-of-hours GP service at Building J (paid parking).
Employees can order a staff parking card through the AUH salary deduction scheme. There is no binding period, so cards can be ordered or cancelled freely.
The price is approx. 215 DKK/month.
For information and orders, contact HR at 2478 2964 or parkering@auh.rm.dk
Lockers are available in the changing rooms at Building G.
The Emergency Department at AUH is closed to the public, which means that access to RECEM is also restricted.
All RECEM-affiliated individuals who are employed and actively contribute to acute medicine research can apply for an access card. Applications are approved individually by the nearest leader (Marianne, Bo, Jesper, or Kasper).
The photo booth for ID cards is located at Universitetstorvet in Building J (under the stairs). Instructions and opening hours for the photo booth can be found here: ID Card Guide.
It is a good idea to read the instructions in advance. Remember to bring photo ID when collecting your card.
