THE EUROPEAN RESUSCITATION COUNCIL CONGRESS IN ATHENS

The ERC congress provided the latest updates on resuscitation science and clinical practice through exciting talks, interactive panel discussions, late-breaking science and abstract presentations along with a lot of engagement in diverse workshops, the popular Resuscitation Competition, the first Resuscitation Olympic Games and valuable networking.
From the Research Center for Emergency Medicine Associate Professor Kasper Glerup Lauridsen, PhD student Johannes Wittig and two medical students, Moritz Nettinger and Cecilie Langkilde Lauesen, actively participated in the congress.
During the three days in Athens, Kasper and Johannes chaired sessions on mechanical circulatory support, neonatal life support, the first Resuscitation Science Masterclass Forum and the Young ERC Open meeting. They had the honor of moderating and judging oral and poster sessions and gave insightful talks on intra-arrest ventilation.
Moritz presented a poster on his project investigating the interaction of ward staff with automated external defibrillators during in-hospital cardiac arrest.
Cecilie presented a poster on her project investigating handover of patient information from ward staff to the cardiac arrest team during in-hospital resuscitation.
At the congress, Johannes (Young ERC Chair and Member of the Congress Organizing Committee) and Cecilie (Young ERC Committee Member) represented the Young ERC which supports the next generation of the resuscitation community.
Thank you all for a great and memorable Resuscitation Congress 2024 🙌
